Vortex Crossfire II scopes

For a less than $200 scope these things are hard to beat! The glass is clear, finger adjustable turrets, adjustable objective, resettable zero, 4" sun shade, the reticle is etched glass.
These thing just plain work. Between the wife, my brother and I we must have 6-8 of these scopes in different configurations.

If your looking for your next inexpensive yet nice scope, give the Vortex line a look. I think you'll be happy.

Got three of them. Not the best glass, but one of the very best at the price point by far....hence me having more than one. Philippine Weavers and some of the Nikons are up there with them.

I have 2 of them and really don't like them. The 4-12 seems to take lots of tweaking to not get blurry on a 100yd target.

I also have one on my 35 Remington Marlin. It's lower powered and at first I really liked it. Things changed when I took it hunting. That last 30 min of light when deer usually move good the scope was pretty much useless. Gathers light horribly.

I think the added cash to get into the diamondback line is well worth the money.
I do love vortex optics. Pretty much the only thing I buy anymore.

I have them going up and down the scale.
the diamondback is on one of my most accurate rifles.
it will probably get changed out at some point in the future but it held up real well in last years snow and mud festival we called the deer hunt. [not bad for a 200$ scope]
it held up to banging around on the 4 wheeler and just being in and out of the snow and cold.

I generally put the cross fires on the varmint rifles. [I have one on a couple of dual purpose caliber rifles though]
I like the viper for the target rifles, that's what I have on the XCB.
I just wish the Viper had more zoom capability.

Right after they came out with the Crossfire II, Optics Planet (through Gearhog) priced the Crossfire at closeout pricing. I bought a few different variations, at stupid cheap prices, one had target turrets, another had illuminated reticle (not a fan BTW, but it's usable), and a standard 3-9x40...all were under $100.

They have a Crossfire II scout scope that I am going to try out sometime. I want to mount it on my Rossi 92 in 44 mag.

that would be a good combination.
NOE makes a nice scout scope mount for the Rossi's.
Ranch Dog designed it.

My Vortex Crossfire II scout scope has super clear optics.
It offers a full field of view with my normal face position on the stock.
The reticle on this one is etched in the glass.
