Wadcutters

These days, I am shooting mostly full charge wadcutters - H&G #50 four cavity ahead of 3.5 Bullseye or equivalent in .38 Special brass. I am mostly shooting them in my S&W Model 520 (titanium cylinder, composite 4" barrel, target sights, .357 Magnum, with Simmons 30 mm Red Dot Sights.

I also have an H&G six cavity iron mould for the H&G #251 dbl ended wadcutter for .38 Special that also shoots extremely well. The mold is excellent, too - the bullets just fall out of it and properly sized with my "standard" alloy (clip on WW's+2% tin). However, the mold and handles weigh nearly five pounds and is quite tiring to use at my age.

It shoots extremely well and is a good load for edible small game, too. Was out at the range a couple of times this week and had a good outing both times. Trying to get back in "shooting shape" after a bit of health related "time off". We did practice "social distancing" but had a REALLY good time.
