I got out and OLD ONE today.
Bought this one in the early 70's.
The mould cast just as good today as it did in the 70's.
Bullets drop at 359" .
I remember putting two of these in a 38 Spec. case.
They ( together ) will weigh about 165 grs. ( + or - )
At 15 yards, they hit about 1/2" apart from each other.
I put a small wad of wax paper between the two bullets to keep them from sticking together.

Oh. Did I say there are a lot of these w/c bullets that will come from 20 lbs of alloy ?

I have a similar mould here, a Lyman #358101 of one-cylinder configuration. 75 grains nominal, they are great fun to mess with people with that like to "borrow" your home-rolled wadcutters on range days. "HEY--SOMEBODY IS CROSS-FIRING!" It took from 2-4 rounds fired before the victim tumbled to being "had" in this way.

My Lymans don't hit that close together at 15 yards--more like 1.5"-2.0". Certainly close enough together to make for an interesting autopsy, and Wild Bill Hickok did some good work of that sort using roundballs of about the same weight and diameter.

Fired solo, these hit kinda low for me in 38 Special or 357 Magnum revolvers, both fixed and adjustable sights. I used standard wadcutter powder charges of 2.7-3.0 Bullseye or 3.0-3.3 grains of WW-231 to run both single- and double-bulleted variants.

I love a 2 projectile load. I was long ago challenged by Khornet to a single shot match at 50 yards with a muzzleloader. He was sure he was gonna make me look bad. He fired and had an 8. I fired and had two 8s. He forgot that the rifled musket I was shooting put 2 balls in one load very close together at 50 yards.

Ben, a mould like that doesn't always have lots of practical use but it sure can be fun.

Real neat.

Been considering trying 2 rb's in the 454 just for fun but, haven't re-found my mould yet.

At large, whereabouts unknown.
Speer 38 cal shot capsules can be used as sabots for 32 cal bullets in 38/357 as well. Two 90 gr .32 revolver bullets fit nicely inside one capsule if you leave the wad cap off. They seemed to shoot tolerably close to point of aim too.
