Ok, this came from my Father and he’s been gone since 2000. My brother Joe brought it to me in Mountain Home.

I’ve run across these before but I don’t remember anything about them. So any help would be appreciated.

No markings except for 2 very and I mean very small stampings on the part that drops into place after a shell is dropped in.

Flobert? I have no idea.

I need to take the stock off and see what if anything to help identify it. I have no tools appropriate for that job.

Rich nailed it! It looks like they made all kinds and there were knock-offs of the basic design. I found falling blocks, rolling blocks, and three different styles of the flip-up breech block in a brief search. This one seems close to John's:

That is a nice-looking little critter!

If you Google 'Flobert rifle', a photo of John's rifle can be seen leading the site. Mr. Flobert invented the metallic cartridge, per Wikipedia.

my BIL picked up a fairly close copy of the action made for kids.
i can't remember if the Japs or the Chinese made it, but it has a more traditional rifle like stock.
it's in 22LR and is pretty accurate, my G-boy has it now.
no idea where he come across it.

I was reading on the NRA site that you shouldn’t even use modern CB or BB caps in them. Very soft metal. Oh well, it’s a curiosity anyway.
