WTS - Tempilstik 450F for Annealing

450F Sticks, New. I purchased an entire box of these (which contained several of these smaller packs), and after using one of them, realized it would last me a lifetime. I thought I would need to use it on every single case, but as you can read below, that isn't required.

They are perfect for annealing rifle brass using the socket technique. Spin a SCRAP CASE in the flame, with the tip of the inner hot flame on the point of the shoulder. Count to 5 or so, then pull it out of flame and touch the Tempilstik to the body of the case, about 1/2"-3/4" below the point of the shoulder. If it melts, try less time, if it doesn't, try more. When it just doesn't melt is when you have the most heat on the neck while not affecting the case head. Once you know how long it takes, you can process your brass by counting to whatever, and the stick is no longer necessary. It takes considerably more heat than 450F to even start the annealing process with cartridge brass, so it is a good safety margin.

$10 each, shipped (PM if interested)
