woo hoo supposed to get up to 35 today, if the wind doesn't start rolling again I think I will fire up the Bronco and go fishing for a little while.
probably the last day to get it in, I'm seeing negatives [minus 5-10] for a low here in a couple of days and the lake should be turning totally over and forming a crust on the top pretty soon.

Trout get a little suicidal when lakes turn over, they feed like frenzied piranha if you hit the timing right. Good luck!

yep this is the time of year when the big boys come up in the shallows.
I have already caught one nice 5.5-6lb male this year.
last fall the last fish I caught was over 30"s and was fat, it was in like 7-8' of water 4-5' from the edge of the ice.
I don't usually catch a bunch of them [or fish for very long] but the majority are in the 3-4lb. range and fight like they weigh double that.

Well today came and went and My wife's insurance would not certify the procedure!
Her Heart Doc had a long talk with the insurance folks this evening and got it approved and scheduled now for Monday...
She is fit to be tied! But at least now it is going to happen

JW - Great. She will be out, they'll tickle the nerves while monitoring EKG to find the right spot, then cath it. She'll feel good after a couple days, no pain just more energetic.

Good news JW.
I have a feeling Anthem Blue Cross is not going to OK Mrs. smokeywolf's defibrillator vest, which the cardiologist recommends she wear for 90 days. $10K for 3 month rental.

Some time ago I told of my wife's diagnosis with cancer. She fought so very hard, but lost the battle last evening. Enjoy every minute you possibly can with your loved ones.

RJ, first I've heard of them denying anything with our plan but then I haven't needed anything like that either so . . .

What about the diabetes talk with the GP?

Rick (Arkansas Rick), She's still type 2. Doc has prescribed a med for her. Walgreens didn't have it yesterday. I'll hopefully pick it up today. Her blood sugar this morning was 150.

It's still kinda nice today (snow tomorrow, maybe?) ...it should get to 39º and sunny, but the Breeze is suppose to pick up. Yesterday's Range visit was fun, I think I'll try it again today, maybe with the T-38 Arisaka 257 x 6.5
