I was lucky enough (quick and right place @ right time)

First was Over on that "other board" a unused Ruger Only 45, 2cav, PB, Brass mold with full array of pins. 325g with smallest pins in place and 295g with biggest dependent upon alloy of coarse. ;)

Second was via a link for a brandy new 358-93 4cav Brass, PB mold with all pins.

Love his molds they are well made and drop pretty bullets.

Im still watching & waiting for a 358-200.

Good for you! I had a nice 358 mould that was brass....Nice bullets & Had all the pins however I do not have the patience to cast with brass again so I sold it off! For some reason It kept tinning!....Drove me crazy but that was before I fully understood casting!

It's really hard to beat the Lee unless you want a pointy bullet.
I have the LEE358/200, the NOE 358/200 & the RCBS everyone copied!!
This MP mold is of coarse a HP. I have the 220, but borrowed Tommeboys 358-200 and love love that size. My 357 MAXIMUM GUNS & 350 Legend guns all shoot it very well!

Problem resolved by casting for others' guns, or buying more firearms for molds you've already got.

Edit - Ian beat me to it.

Both of those should be enjoyable. The 4-cavity will likely beat the other one to your door, should make some good fodder for the LCP!

I love the MP molds.

Six years ago, when I sold all my 44 cal guns...and then the sale of most 44 brass, bullets, molds, tooling followed shortly after.

BUT one mold I couldn't/wouldn't sell, was a MP 432640 solid (4 cav brass)...it's just the perfect mold for a levergun and she has been a lady in waiting, just in case I ever stumbled into the right levergun. I still haven't found it yet? But I do have a verbal order in, at the LGS for a 1-20 twist Henry Big Boy Steel 44 mag...if case they ever get one in? I was told they have over 70 Henry's on order (various models). Four came in a month ago and another small batch should arrive next week. As they trickle in, they said they don't know what is coming until the day shipment leaves their distributor.

I have been working up loads in the BH with the 454/297 bullet.
Lymans max load for a 300g is 6g but of coarse THAT 300g seats FAR deeper than this MP bullet. But I started there just the same.
Speeds was just under 680 for a 10" Contender and just over 600, for the 7.5 BH. GOOD accuracy a d LIGHT recoil and Report. VERY LIGHT LOAD.

TODAY, I loaded 6.5, 7.0 & 7.5g and got a 5/avg or 634, 661 & 683. Im not looking to set the world afire. Thats easy but rather a happy medium of recoil accuracy and velocity. Ill adjust alloy once the other two are in check.
All loads where fired @ 50 yards sitting but free holding 2 hands group for all 4 of these loads fell inside 3". NONE of the recoil was objectionable.
My 9,5g /250g load was heaver.

Tomorrow, I have 7.8, 8.0 & 8.3g loaded.

Jon I had one of the MP 432640 molds but sold it. Did you get that one from me? Anyhow, that was a good bullet and I'll bet it will be a fine shooter in the Henry you are waiting on.

A couple of years ago I bought an 8 cavity aluminum MP mold for the H&G #275 to use in my 9mm's. The Dan Wesson 1911's just hated that bullet as it would strike sideways at 10 yards. Shot pretty well in the 38/44 Outdoorsman, though. About a month ago I bought a Taylor 1892 Carbine in .357 and found that #275 shoots just fine in it. Still scratching my head on some of the perplexities of life. ;)

Well, if I keep scratching my head, I won't have any hair left ! I went to my mold storage and found I still have the 432640. I reckon I kept it for the 629-4 Light Hunter Plus which I haven't shot in a couple of years. Have been concentrating on the 1911's and 32 Longs. Anyhow it was a fine bullet and not disappointed I kept it. Them MP molds are near a work of art.

That's funny.
Of the dozen plus MP molds I've owned, most of them came from you. I think I ordered a total of 3 from Slovenia and the 432640 solid was one of them...I think it was actually part of a groupbuy, before Miha had a website? I bought it for a Marlin 1894 44 mag I had...but it was at the time I was transitioning from 44 to 41...So I think I've only made test casts with the mold, then never loaded any...more time went by, then my Auction happened, where all 44 guns got sold.

I hung on to the mold, when my other 44 molds got sold...Cuz I just knew I'd find that one 44 levergun...hasn't happened yet, but I keep looking.
