Edible? bullet lube

While digging though the fridge the other day my wife found a package of Wally World store brand individually wrapped cheese (sorry Duke, yes, I know it's not real cheese) singles. I am one of those people where their eggs have to be scrambled, not fried, poached, they have be to be scrambled, done, and something else in or with them. Anyway, scrambled up some eggs, slapped a slice of cheese on them while still in the skillet, turn off the burner and cover the skillet to let the "cheese" melt. Get some other stuff out for breakfast and come a few minutes later, what the heck... . So into the microwave to nuke the stuff, finally get it melted and sit down to eat. Taste is ok, but soon finding it sticking to the roof of my mouth and my teeth. In my twisted sense of humor the thought came to mind, it's sticky, moderate melting point, wonder if it might actually be, or could be used for bullet lube.

Hmmm. Just like I tell my kids in similar situations... all bullet lube of course is edible. But you have to live with the results of eating it.

Right, it's not whether or not you CAN eat it. It's more about if you SHOULD eat it.

I'm reminded that every bird species in North America is edible. Palatable not so much ......

I cringe to think how much paraffin and STP have crossed my lips in the last 56 yr .

I'd like to think it counters the effects of arthritis.

Ya know when ya have a iphone. It makes "video" for you based on commonalities or change in location or a number if other reasons.

Mine made me one based on "food"
It has a couple pics of my Sausage making and maybe one or two meals but its chock full of my Powder coated bullets!!! Hahahahaha

"COVER" pic is 54cal T/C MAXI Balls in lube I had put in fridge!!:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Popper has used straight peanut butter and also straight Canola oil with very good success as a cast bullet lubricant. Felix lube and my modified Emmert's black powder patch and bullet lube both double as excellent lip balm.

Makes you wonder, if bullet lube makes good lip balm, then it begs the question, does good lip balm make good bullet lube? It would probably be cost prohibitive to use on a regular basis. But if you were caught in a situation where you had no lube and needed some now, Burt's Bees just might get you out of a tight spot.

Especially that Burts bees hand salve they sell. Comes in a tin the size of shoe polish back in the day. I'll admit I've used it for emergency case lube for a couple of shells.

However, I think if I were to go with one thing over the counter for bullet lube... it would be straight up Johnsons paste wax. Bees wax is a 2nd place choice because I have no idea where to find it over the counter.

Holy crap!! At $11/lb, you might want to be making patties out of that and tossing them on the grill. I got a load of beeswax from a local apiary for small money years ago. He gave me a huge block of the wax that was not fully refined and and bits of bee parts and other stuff it it. Did not bother me. All floated to the top when I melted it. Not yellow those. Kind of a tan color. Not the stuff to use if you are trying to impress others at the range with the visual beauty of your lube.

That was pretty wax for candles at Hobby Lobby . Probably cheaper if you buy it as bow string wax .
I have about 5# of it now , I doubt I'll use it all .

the hardware store has little 2oz. pucks of 'ultra refined' bees wax.
it's for rubbing on nails and screws.

lip stick also has a high bees wax content.
