you guy's know SAGE G/C's [the son] is a member here, it would maybe be easier to start a thread and just ask him.
Good to know. But comes to My mind... He is as free to comment as any other Member. If not, then a PM...

right,, he can post or not post.

but IMO if he has at least some support from the community and given a little understanding it might help him make a go of things.
it's not like he can broaden his perspective customer base a whole lot, so it'd be nice if those few customers had a good line of communication going [both ways] so everyone has a good understanding of what's going on.
and that he knows he at least has the support of those that use his products.

It's a different world now. We need to be prepared to buy immediately when we find what we need, or be prepared to do without. I've spent a small fortune in the last week. Some things were at normal pricing, some weren't. But I'll have what I need for a potentially lengthy issue.

Sure they were pricy. Hornaday checks are more than Gator's, anyways. I wouldn't buy them at that inflated price. Won't sell the 4000 Gator's that I got from Sage's last week, either I'm sure they're out of stock by now. He who hesitates, is lost.

We all have our own moral compass to follow. Winelover summed it up well in his post. I've hesitated in the past, wanting to find a better price, or a not buying something I need because I wanted something different. I've been able to recover from most of it, but it wasn't because of any great genius on my part, I simply got lucky the last few days and was able to recover one expired deal, plus find a limited source for my preferred 308 hunting bullets, I'm also involved in a number of local swaps and deals. The bullet price wasn't great, but not horrible when compared with "normal" retail. The shipping and handling, I felt was excessive, but they're on their way to me.

I'm not trying to incite a panic by any means, men with 30-06s don't panic:rofl:. Just be prepared to act quickly, and keep working. We may not see some of this stuff available soon, and this may be the new normal for awhile.

I'm not even gonna look.
if I happen to stumble over something I 'need' maybe i'll buy it, that same attitude got me through the last 2 or 3 'shortages'.

The new norm ,............. Ugh .

No takers on the 375 checks ? Asking too much ? Not enough ? Too many trade options ?
