Sold a couple of guns I haven't shot in a long time. That covered the cost of the 1892 Winchester 32-20 I recently acquired. Dealer had some UltraMax 32-20 ammo, but $99 per box, which seems to be the going price if it can be found. Hoping Starline will make another run of brass. I ordered some 32 H&R brass on January 3rd and it was delivered a couple of weeks ago.

Jon, all I can say is your living behind the eight ball. Get yourself a cordless phone, preferably with multiple handsets. Have had free Caller ID for at least the last thirty. Both in Michigan and in rural Arkansas. Even my old fashioned cellular flip phone, has Caller ID................ which hardly gets turned on. I don't even give that number out.
Eight Ball ...LOL
.
I do have a cordless setup for the landline and it is capable of caller ID, but it's a fee for service with my plan from my provider[CenturyLink]. Now I could spend more on a different plan to get free caller ID ...LOL. Oh boy, long distance through CenturyLink is crazy expensive, I use a Mexican calling card for long distance, I think it's currently 1.9¢ for USA/Canada calls and a penny more for Mexico.
.
even though it might sound like I was complaining, I was not. I am fine with the current situation, and enjoy my passive-aggressive antics.

I haven't had a phone service in at least 30 years that charged for caller ID. Just part of the phone package as is free long distance. When the phone rings I look at it, if I don't recognize both the name AND the number I don't answer it, let it go to voice mail. Robo callers rarely leave a message, later at my convenience I delete the numbers from the phone's memory.

Do you have a mold for that?
I have one you might be interested in, I couldn't recall all the particulars of it, and I know I posted about it here before.
.
After searching, I found my 5 yr old post.

A friend of mine loads for a Marlin in 32-20. I don't know anything about his gun, but he asked me to source some cast bullets for him. I got some Lee samples from another caster, who had some sized to .313 I also stumbled onto a slightly damaged mold for a very good price, A older single cavity Lyman 313226 RN 95gr. The mold had some damage to the top of the mold block at the edge of the cavity, I cleaned up the mold as best I could and cast some. They drop .314 and I lubed and sized them to .313 for my friend. He said they worked very well in his rifle...I didn't ask for any more particulars. If you are interested in some samples, I could cast you some.

:rofl:Haven't heard of that in 25 years.

When the first cell phones came out, they were Bag Phones, I had one, AT&T, IIRC. They weren't portable. Came in a bag with a remote battery. If you were on a different carrier, for service, you had to provide that carrier with a CC number. They didn't share cell towers, back then.

When I call Rick, Winelover or Ian, I know my name shows up on their caller ID, so I don't usually announce myself. When calling anyone else who may not have my name and number in their phone's address book I identify myself first.
I just hate seeing common courtesy disappear.

I pay something like $60/month and have this device that can surf the internet, manage bank accounts, buy just about anything I need, make telephone calls, send and receive emails, take photos and videos, send text messages, tracks me wherever I go, listens to me all the time and makes product advertising suggestions, and just about anything else I do or don't want. Caller ID is pretty much a given, in fact I doubt I could turn it off if I wanted to.

When I get what I expect to be a spam mask call but with a name I just answer like we're old friends . It confuses the cue cards out of the ones that are ligit business callers . The spam/scams just hang up . Occasionally I get a really tenacious one usually from an old local number that doesn't exist unless everyone in the county suddenly has 3 phones on that prefix and the other one has been closed out .

Thank you for your generous offer, Jon, but I have a couple of molds that should work. The MP 314-640 on hand and ordered a 31-105C from Accurate Molds. Fun little cartridge!

It has been a super hot ( mid 90's) late Spring week for us ...very unusual with Humidities in the 30% area and no rain at all for 2 or more weeks!
I'm watering my seedlings 5 times a day because they wilt constantly . The garden soil is like dry concrete!

This afternoon we had Rain , finally! I actually worked in the pouring rain to turn the gardens soil! Temps dropped from 94 deg to mid 70's and we got over 1/2 inch of rain! Whoopee! Actually cooked my supper on the weber in a major rain storm! I got soaked but man it felt good. Cool & cloudy tomorrow I will get the plants in the ground finally!

tryin my best to send more that direction.

i haven't opened most of my boxes for a couple of days now because i don't want their contents floating away.
i dump the water out of the wheel barrows into 5 gallon buckets to water the green house and a box or two if they get a bit dry.
whopping 55-F today with a light drizzle at the lowest and actual rain at the highest points.

we've had enough water that the spill way on my trout fishing lake is washed out, it was lined with 2-3-4 foot diameter boulders that i'd rock crawl over in the Bronco to go fish the edge of the dam by the gate.
those are now all down at the bottom in the creek somewhere.

i could really use some sunshine,,, maybe next week.

This morning, I got a forwarded email from a cousin who lives in MN.
The email was about one of my AK cousins looking for me. She and her late husband are the ones I stayed with when I visited AK in 1997. She is coming to MN for a week long visit, which I don't have any details yet? Maybe she is visiting relatives on another side of the family? or Maybe a medical visit to the Mayo? She was near retirement age when I visited in 1997, so she is no spring chicken today.
Anyway, she arrives tomorrow, I hope to get to the town where she is staying at, for at least, a one day visit.
Today the phone calls and text messages were going back and forth and back and forth...
.
Tomorrow some of my MN relatives, myself, Daughter, and granddaughter will be meeting up with my AK Cousin. She is Yupik, I figure I should mention that now, as I found out she is here of a week long Native conference at the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Casino hotel complex.

The every 2 yr family vacation begins shortly .
I've been staring at the ceiling for an hour in anticipation of the last bought of " do we have everything packed , did we get it all loaded , is everyone pee'd , oh for love of Pete what does I didn't have to go then have to do with anything?" , before we make it 15 miles . The house , plant , critter sitter won't be here for 2.5 hours yet .

6 hr drive that should be 3 tops with probably a stop at the phone store in addition to the other 4 planned stops and 2 sneak aways to search out a 30-30 and 303 shell holders along the way . There has got to be a better way to escape the every day grind and wear out the little ones .

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.

Sounds like your soil has very little organic matter in it Jim. Mulching will help.

This last course of chemo has hit me like a ton of bricks. Just miserable. The only good thing about it that it's marginally better than pushing up daisies!

End of whining.

Kids are all coming over tomorrow, should be a better day.

As anticipated the 200 mile 3 stop should have been 3 hour trip included 3 extra stop for the 3&4 yr olds that spontaneously developed 1.7 oz 27 min bladders .....left the house at 9:15 made the 217 mile drive in just 6:15 ........ Of course the high light is that Ms finally gave in and got Little Butt 8 oz bottles , he just not ready for a cup at 16 mos , and we got curdled milk back . The slow rolling and twisty road probably contributed to the down load .......

Cleaned up and room settled , Ms went for dinner , so LB , the 4 yr old and I stayed behind with a Gatorade and pork rinds . I never cared much for the flavored ones , just a plain salted kind of guy . I do like all of the Macs brand flavors especially the BBQ for some reason which is weird because I generally don't care for anything typically BBQ flavored .
