When a Cramer looks barely used and is less than retail Lee you buy it right ?
So research says that B1-3 are .280-115 to 130 gr bullets but the cast pics book pics doesn't list a B4 so I guess this is a deal you know because you had/have one .
In my typical state of confusion I read 280 and thought cool a 150 7mm ...... No I have another for the 6.8 and maybe a heavy .
I won't be able to cast it ...... probably shouldn't have gone to the show or bought a new mould.....

Hush now. We don't allow that kind of negative speak around here. Probably shouldn't have gone to a gun show. My eyes don't want to see that kind of language again.

Well I got it home .......
A Glen Frixell On FB thought maybe it might be a .280- ??? as the B1-3 are assorted .280 115-130 gr so I dropped a loose NOE 279-124 in the cavity and the check shank was a match close enough . Looks like a 130 gr spitzer .

At large, whereabouts unknown.
I've always been puzzled by the mould manufacturers insistance that .270 moulds are marked as 280, and that 7mm moulds are often marked 287ish. But then .308 moulds were originally marked "308", and are now marked as "311" (ish).

Lyman moulds that were once marked 308 dropped bullets that measured .311, but now their moulds that are marked 311 drop bullets that measure .308.

280-130 SP

With so many descriptions of late concerning nose shape an metal movement these look like they might have been a good design to go fast with . The 1-11" in the 6.8 should be at least as good as the 279-124 NOE and if it is it might even shoot flatter , ya know cause that's a big deal for cast shooting .

just throwin this out there, but I myself would mark one of the cavity's and separate the castings.

looks like it makes pretty decent bullets though.

Noses are .270-271 .

I may figure out how to do that later on . I only ran a few , maybe 10-12 pours , so it would likely settle down and run well , making well matched bullets . The #45 I have is extremely well matched .

Looks a RN version of the LEE .277 mold. Good mold and bullet design. Will do very well. A .280 is acceptable diameter and is my throat diameter of my .270 Winchester. I have a Lee Push through die that is .280 and a .278 Luber Sizer Die. Both make accurate bullets but i find the .280 bullets group better.
