I would score 450 out of 500 in a match. I could put 50 rounds in the black on 200 yard target. It was fun. Way better than shooting real 300 magnum rounds.

Forgive me. Not familiar with those targets. What were your groups in inches at 200 yards?

We used a MR-52 target scaled down to show 600 yards. My groups were under 2 inch off a bag if I took my time at 200 yards and for 100 yards always under an inch or less. Don't shot a rifle that much. Out of 132,428 rounds loaded about 5,000 rifle rounds the rest pistol. I would rather cast and reload than shoot. If I had to stop casting or reloading never go to the range again. Got the 300 magnum because it was left handed and only cost me 400.00 Ruger 77. The guy running the match told me I could not use cast bullets because I would not hit the targets. So I asked to fire a couple for him to see how they worked. After that he had no problem letting me shoot.

No kiddin huh? I was told I shouldn't use cast in long range revolver, that I should go for the win instead of ruining my barrels. Some people sure have funny ideas. I told him I couldn't afford the handicap of those over priced store bought things with full length gas checks.
