That. Is. Badass!. I want, want, want, one of those rifles. I just need to educate myself to make sure I get a good one. A shooter grade is all I need but don't want to get screwed and overpay.

The 03 is a shooter. My brother has several and competed with them at Camp Perry.

Waco, not sure if the CMP still has them or not but that is a good place to buy one.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
Looks like he has a recvr sight on his '03? That helps if your eyes are not 20 years old anymore. I love the feel of my '03, but the issue sights are meant for guys with 20/20 vision.

Nice shooting indeed ! I just got a old Lyman 48 for mine cant wait to put it on have to fix it first the arm is bent down a bit need to straighten it. Then it will be good to go.

A good 03 or 03A3 with rear peep will deliver good cast bullet loads into that group at 50 yards with boring regularity. Move out to 100 and let the breeze pick up and your shooting karma will suffer.

My '03 is stock as can be. If I ever get around to getting the barrel un fouled I might look into a recvr sight. The shooting I've done with the issue sights pretty much tell me it's going to be necessary!

Well, all I can say is my stock Remington 03A3 and NRA Sporter clone with new S-C barrel will do 1.5 MOA with cast for ten shots, if my shooting is good. I think that is well within the pictured 50 yard group. My 03A3 was an unfired Odgen Arsenal rebuilt (4 groove) when it was given to me. I can only speak for those two rifles.
