I recently bought a couple of used SC Lyman molds from a friend for my 25-20.
One is a 257420, the other is a 257312. Both are in great shape.
I picked them up and 1K Hornady gas checks for $50.
I will be waiting for cooler weather to cast with these.
I have been shooting factory 86 gr GC bullets in my M92 Win.
It will be interesting to see how they shoot.
Any of you have any favorite loads for these bullets?...dale

Can't speak for the 457312 (I assume that's really a 257312?), but the 257420 shoots well in my 25-20 with 10 grains of A-1680. Weigh sort the bullets to ~0.2 grain bins, anneal the gas checks and crimp them on upside down (so they stay flat). Size them well over groove to groove, I started with .258" and wound up at "more", just honed out my sizing die until I got satisfactory results. I guess I should measure that. I know what the die was when I started as it was a special order from Lee.

By the way, you stole those molds. I'd give you that any time.

that is a steal.
I'm shooting a plain base 72 gr mold in my Win. 25-20's, I'm just tumble lubing the water dropped ww alloy and leaving them at 259-260.
my load is way off the books so if you decide to give it a go your on your own.
14grs of AA-2230 with a SR mag primer, I haven't chrono'd it but it's moving along pretty well and it's accurate.
I use it to shoot the half size 100 yd silhouette cowboy shoots and it's fast enough to tip over the rams.
