30 xcb rifle

I have decide to sell my 30 xcb rifle. I have no desire to shoot it, I am no longer interested in that entire pursuit. Matter of fact, that rifle is largely the reason this site exists.
It is a Savage 112 action, 29 inch Kreiger barrel, in a heavy BR laminated stock.
The rifle does have a Sharp Shooter supply trigger which is far better than the original Savage trigger. Scope not included but I will leave the scope mount less rings on the action.

Only interested in either face to face or FFL to FFL transfers.

I have 750 bucks in the barrel, stock, and trigger. You pay shipping and 750 dollars and it is yours.

Which way?

It weighs around 15-16 pounds

Photos I can get.

Not really. Check your inbox for more details.

This covers the cost of what I had added to the rifle. Smithing cost me nothing so I have no money to recover from that.

I have shot the rifle, and it is a shooter. For those interested in PB shooting in a 30 cal, this rifle would probably shoot under half min or less all day long.

Here it is, ready for packing up. It will be wrapped well, put in a hard case, taped well, then covered in cardboard. I see lots of tape being involved.

Never been divorced but I have a feeling this is similar. Eliminating something from my life that just never really fit.

I will not miss this chapter in my life. There was a silver lining and only a few are aware of what it is. Those are the people that matter.

Dang I wish I had seen this earlier. Seems like good deal. I had been paying attention to this caliber and testing on another sight. jim

Got my payment today, rifle is on its way. Local FFL said it should arrive there by Friday.

Excellent, I'm sure the buyer will be a happy camper. PS sorry for scabbing off of your sales thread, I wasn't actively looking to sell mine but if someone else is interested in it the rifle deserves to be passed on and continue to be enjoyed. Both of ours proved the concept very well and it's time for me to move on and apply what it taught me to other things.

Scab away!
My rifle taught me a bunch about casting, more about loading, and even more about people. The entire experience did lead me to using a Rowell ladle and that alone is a huge improvement for me.

The mould will stay, it will work in many other 30 cal rifles. The dies I am keeping as they can work in other 06 rifles. My brass is all headed for the scrap bucket.

scrap bucket?
my original [jeez I forget how few now] pieces are about toast.....

I really thought I was about the only one that hasn't really touched or thought about the XCB project in a lOONggg time.
last time I shot mine was at a rock chuck across the black canyon [@300 yds away] earlier this spring, I think i'll keep mine and re-stock it at some point [maybe]
the round count is still under 30.

Pretty much my first, other than a few muzzle loaders. I generally buy and keep, forever.
