300 blk range results

So I had the RAR in 300 blk with me today for some testing of the NOE 311-230-FN
My bullets weighed out to right at 238gr. These were loaded up with 10.8gr of CFE BLK. They were sized to .311" and lubed with 2500+ TNQ brass and S&B SRP
This five shot group was shot at 100 yards.

I ran one dry patch through the bore prior to shooting the gun. Bore looked good. I only shot 15 rounds today. Four shots over my brothers Magnetospeed that didn't register a single shot....
Five over my Chrony from 10 feet to get some numbers. Numbers I was very happy with!:D
1046fps Avg
ES-16
SD-5.3
One fouling shot on paper then a five shot group. The bore was pretty full of unburnt powder afterword. MV was right were I wanted it and I can't complain about the accuracy. I was very uncomfortable shooting from prone out of the bed of my truck, the sun was in my eyes, and the reticle in this little Nikon scope is super thick. It was hard to keep a precise aiming point. None the less it was a good day.

Awesome. The rifle has a preference, eh? I never tried .360 or .361 in mine. Might need to make another sizer.

full of unburnt powder afterword I've heard comments like that when not 100% fill but haven't noticed it myself. I only use it for heavy supers in the 10".

Oh yeah, terrible, coarse crosshairs, sun in your eyes, three in a row touching, you suck! LoL! Thanks for the data and report on bore condition.

LOL. Sad but true. My scope only goes to 7x
I was about to just give up when my brother said put one more in for a five shot group. I had no idea.

sometimes those are the best ones.
I remember shooting 3-5 shot, 1-1/2" and under 300 yd groups one after the other with my hunting rifle.
I was hitting about 2"s to the left of the little black circle I was supposed to be hitting, but the guy spotting me kept saying shoot another group, shoot one more.
I just kept lining up the cross hairs.

How could you not see them? There was a little frame right below you with the target on it. Damn man, look at the screen!

That last load was just piling them in there. I was shocked to see how well a .361 bullet shot.

Hold on a second fiver. Of all people YOU are calling out others for thread drift? What’s next, Ian calls me pedantic?

Bill, he used .361 bullets in his Marlin 357. He just happened to mention it in this thread.

Seeing that 300 shoot like that, you are going to make me go buy another 30 cal gun again. I have had a fascination with the 300 whisper ever since I seen it in a TC catalog when I was about 16 years old. Back then it was pre internet and it was near impossible to find out what it was.
