Got my Mould in the mail yesterday and got to cast some this afternoon. Simply outstanding mould that cast great from the start. WW Lead and it was good to go. Melt temp of ~725 down to ~650 and seemed to cast best at ~700. The as cast measured almost uniformly @ 310.5 with a weight of 152/156 and most were in the 155 range. No, NONE were crinkled but some were "frosty" in appearance. Going to PC these and then a splash of BLL for good measure and see how they fly. Might have the GC removed if they don't like the PC.8409841084118412

Wow, they look nice!
Let us know how they work out. I am a PC noob, have tried a little with and without tumble lube overcoat. Does your experience suggest the lube gives any benefit?

VERY NICE bullet production quality. Guy Loverin did the casting world a great service with his design ideas.

I totally agree. Going to work up a load(s) for my 30-06 my 30-30's and my 7.62 x 39 ( a rechambering of a 300 BO).

That should be about as close to an ideal design as it can be for powder coat. I wonder what Mr. Loverin would think about all this PC and BLL business?

I'd venture he'd agree both have their benefits. Now whether he'd use the PC or not?
These get the BLL tomorrow.

So far my BLL/PC (BO only test) experiment shows bore stays nice & shiny after shooting. Bore is clean with just PC but BLL seems to leave no trash in the barrel at all. Haven't tried just the JLW only yet, may actually do the job.

My old 03 loves that bullet, I cast and coat a bunch during the winter. I also make the conventionally lubed with carnauba red and fill all the grooves.
