Brad was nice enough to send me some .357 bullet to try out. It's a Ranch Dog 175gr RNFP of a TL and GC design. I just got around 50 checked and getting ready to head to the shop to PC them. Thanks again Brad.

Sad thing is I had cast some when I got the mould but don’t know if I ever shot any?
The “original” 190 RD was too long in the nose to feed in my Marlin 357.
Need to get some 35 checks and see how they do in the Win 92. Should be good and make the rifle a bit “lively” in recoil.

My plan I think is to see how fast and accurately I can run these in a 24" Marlin .357 lever with Lil' Gun powder.
My guess is over 1900fps.

Dang, I did cast those soft. The dents are magnified by the photo but still.

With the PC I have no doubt they will shoot well but at 1700+ those are gonna expand a bit. Poor jacks....

I have a 180 grain FNGC that does interesting and accurate things from both my Bisley BH x 7.5" and the more recent addition of the steel-frame Henry lever rifle. With a warm load of 14.0 grains of WW-296, the revolver runs at 1350 FPS and hovers around 1700 in the 20" rifle. I think there is safe room for 0.5 to 0.7 grains more fuel, though I derive this from primer appearance and ease of extraction. The powder column has a bit of space left.

I have the 190g version as well as a LEE mold 190 WFN. The WFN has been a favorite for decades with me. I was lent the RD mold and cast a few thousand and returned it. Its a real good shooter. My Marlin feeds both BUT the WFN needs to be sized small so dosent shoot as well. Its good @ .360 in the 35 Rem and one Maxi I have too.

This 190 RD is good in everything so far. Id like to find a 175g mold.

Good luck with it!!
