43 years ago I purchased an RCBS , small base, 308 Win. F/L sizer die.
It has been in a box and used very little during all this time.

Recently , I attempted to resize some military LC 7.62 machine gun brass.
I'm aware that this brass can be very difficult to resize, however I thought that I was going to stick a case in the die.

I even tried the die with some commercial R-P, 308 Win. brass. No luck at all. I boxed the die up ( 10 days ago ) and shipped it to RCBS explaining my dilemma.

Today , I received a new die, works super smooth.
Can't beat RCBS Customer Service ! !

Can't complain about that. They certainly stand behind their products.

Ben,
I have to laugh! If I read the title of this post on "that other side of the Street"! it would have started out with "I married my little lady"!:p
But since I kew it was from you I figured it had to be a good reloading equipment post!

I have great admiration for a company that over 40 years later stand behind their product.

Seems like most products these days that are covered by a "limited lifetime warranty"; on the entire $600.00 item, the lifetime part of the warranty only covers a $9.00 part and you have to pay $12.00 to ship that back to them. Everything else is excluded in the fine print.

Your post reminded me that I have the same issues with a .308 Small Base. So I called RCBS, sometimes things get handled by them with their Super Customer service without sending the item back. They want the die and 5 cases fired in my rifle. I gave my .308 to my grandson so I'll have him collect the 5 cases.

No call.
No cases.
I just boxed it up with a letter explaining what my problem was.
