.44 Spl GP100s, a very cool idea

Ruger .44 Spl 5" blue GP100, or 3" SS GP100 at what seems like pretty decent prices, not really sure.

I have nothing to do with this seller, CDNN, other than they send me some good
deal notices in email and I have bought a few guns from them over the years.

I know some folks really like the .44 Spl, and these seem like some pretty nice sized
handgun for the cartridge, too. Five shooters, of course.

They are built like a tank.
It would do everything you could possibly expect from the revolver.

Love our ss 6"357, tank of a gun she is. Would not mind a 3" twin.

I heard they had oversize throats and bore.
I wonder if these have been corrected?

Shot one. They are nice. Handled my Skeeter load fine. Throats are fine far as I know (not the old issue from way back when)

I love the .44 Spcl cartridge and the guns it is chambered in. I have an M24, 2 M624s, a hunchback M296 (5 shot L frame w/a concealed hammer), a pre-number designation N frame, and a stainless steel Rossi M720. The Rossi looks a lot like the 3" SS GP100. I'm saving my nickels right now as I prep for moving our shop but after that when the money gets right maybe Ruger will offer a 5" in SS and I will get one.

Should be a nice plinker, and light. Good for youngsters, heavy isn't helpful for the kids.

I have one of the 44 GP-100 revolvers. I always liked the cartridge because of reading Skeeter’s articles about it. It is an accurate cartridge to begin with and it is in the GP-100 too.

Good evening
We bought one with the 2.75 barrel. Today saw where CDNN has the 6" model at a reasonable price.

I have an old Charter Arms Bulldog that is great for CC in the winter but not for Mississippi summers. I have carried most of my life being LE and now with permit and in the summer here it has to be an auto pistol, any revolver is too bulky for t shirts for me.

I have the CA "Fit for Duty" shrouded hammer 44 Bulldog. Light enough for carry but just too large for social carry. The 2.5 inch barrel is just too long for pants pockets. Demands a IWB holster, which I don't much like. I carry it that way when I'm working around the property due to it's more effective snake loads, over the J-frame. I will pocket carry it while I'm bow hunting...... my hunting clothes have deeper pockets.

Winelover, does that say made in Shelton, CT. On the barrel? They apparently make other great things in Shelton if that’s the case. The original Wiffle ball is made there also, not to far from where I live. “ The Valley “ as it’s also known.

Not into tanks............ prefer sports cars.

Thirty six ounces, unloaded, is ludicrous for a 3" carry piece.

Many a sports cars/owners get hurt feelings & surprises how certain tanks "sport".

We the people disagree based on the long successful track record the g100 enjoys. I've shot the superlight s&w357 & say no thanks to owning one. I'll tell ya like my father told me. At 12 he handed me an a5, I commented about the weight. "eat your wheaties son & always carry enough gun".o_O I've carried the a5 & the 50+oz gp100 many miles with no issues & very much enjoy how they sport.
