.452 looks promising in S&W 1937 Auto Rim

In the continuing saga of an S&W 1937 in .45 Auto Rim with a 6" slab sided barrel [used as a pin gun], we tune in as our protagonist makes another discovery.

Well, I snagged one of those 200 gr .452 wadcutters [looks like a 452488, but with a BB]. Digital calipers say .452 and a skosh. Dropped it into a chamber, and it stopped in the mouth. Had to gently push it out with a rod. Next, into the throat, and the nose went in, then it stopped at the first band. You can feel the band is a very snug fit, not shaving lead, but it has to enter in-line with the throat.

In both the chambers and throat, you could push it in with finger pressure, but it's quite snug. Add 8,000 psi and it probably will slump enough for a tight fit.

Looking much better.
