Will? What is this Rowland carbine you speak of? How about another thread? I've been wanting one, and would appreciate info from someone who has one.

Short and vague .
It's about 1.0" case seated to 45 ACP length run upwards of 28,000 psi with a long jump to drop pressures about the time they start to climb . They fit in 1911 chassis and use a heavy hammer spring and a 24# main spring if I recall correctly . Sort of a deep seat long case super +P Weatherby pressure cheat cartridge .

Here you go. It is a GREAT carbine in 460 Rowland. Mine is made by Mech Tech, and I got the one that works with the 1911 frame:

I upgraded mine to have the AR15 back-end, but you can buy them new like this now for about $500:

and when I got it (before the lathe), I had a gunsmith thread it for 5/8-24, and fitted a muzzle brake - I have used it with my 45cal Form 1 suppressor many, many times:

Take almost any 1911 (mine here is a S80 Colt Commander from this thread):

Keep lower and pin:

Lock bolt back on the carbine, slide lower into carbine, put pin as normal, lower the bolt forward:

It works great, but moved into the 300BLK, so not using it any more - in fact, PM if interested as I will sell it for 1/2 of what a new one goes for.
