Have a Swede 6.5x55 and am looking for a mold for it.
What is the best bullet weight ?
Am in no hurry to buy but would like your ideas on which is best NOE
Mold to buy.
Was looking at the 270-136-FN-AL5 and the 270-147-FN-D5 as I have sizing dies
to size it to whatever size I need.

You typed «swiss 6,5x55». I’m not familiar with such a rifle. Did you mean swedish (mauser)?

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
If you have a Swedish M96 Mauser, ex-military, then take a look at Ians latest postings on his success. We tend to call the Swede 96 6.5x55's
"Karlina", and IIRC the origin of that name had the word "dominatrix" attached to it!!!!! She's not an easy beast to make happy with cast, not one little bit!

Sorry Spindrift,
Got in a hurry posting.

Jim,
My apologies! My crass sense of humor has gotten me in trouble again.

I think that I might just edit that post and pretend that I wasn’t such a jerk for the rest of the day!!!

Merry christmas, Jim!

I have no experience with the swedish mauser myself, but the NOE 268-134 is, I believe, designed for that rifle. That’s the Loverin look-alike.
Good luck with your mauser!

No problem.
We have been married 63 years and I am her sole caregiver.
Been at it so long I don't know any other way.
Merry Christmas!

Jim
You, Sir, are a magnanimous man among many very good men, head and shoulders above the rest. Few know what all you do - and those few appreciate and respect that immeasurably.

@Joshua , NO ONE could know, because it's more than anyone could imagine one could do, so when a fella like @rodmkr says "no problem." absolutely take him at his word.
