You got the rust in the right places, lol!

From my phone if the tires and background didn't give it away I'd swear that was a real one. VERY good detail work.

Thanks! More fun than I remember. A 68 Charger is next.

yep right behind/under the doors, over the rear tires, and the bottom of the tailgate.
if a bunch of leaves got down in there the back bottom of the front fenders would go too.
look at it every time I walk out the front door on the 89 I have.

don't forget the 68 Charger's like to rust out around the back window, above the rear tires, and in the trunk.
the front on them wasn't so bad for some reason.

I haven't decided if I'm going to roach the '68 or try and make it nice. The beauty of rusting them out is you can't really screw up. Trying to make one nice is a one shot deal. One little flaw and you're screwed...

I used to do battle-damaged tanks and make dioramas to go along with them. It would have been cool if they had survived but lots of stuff I stored at home got lost or destroyed while I was in college.

That's very......uhh,rusty. Haha, looks like you enjoy it because that has to take patience. Brother Love has had pics up of his "scale" work too.

Had one of those for real, a fun truck it was. Mine rusted out on the door jambs; the rest not so bad. BTY, mine did not come with dual exhaust, I had to make that conversion myself. Great model work Waco.

I’m not very good at making them look pristine. Rusting them up gives you a lot more leeway.

I was actually being a wiseass and asking how you made plastic rust......

And the guys who can make them look pristine are true artists. Getting the paint and everything just right isn’t easy for those not in the know.
