Karyn and I offer our condolences as well. Was going to comment earlier but, words are inadequate in the face of a loss of loved ones.

Ben, I feel sorrow for your loss, but I do have words. As myself and my friends age it is easy to do some introspective thinking. Your friend Steve sounds as though he had a life well lived, well lived. Brave, talented, respected, loved. What more can any of us possibly ask from our limited time here on earth. I say, "Huzzah Steve, I wish all of us here could have known you as Ben did." Having Ben's admiration speaks volumes about the man. Here here! God Speed Steve.

Sorry to hear of your loss Ben. Steve must have been a real tough guy, they don’t give away berets or wings.

His wife said that he never went anywhere without this coin being in his pocket.

Ben,
My Brother was a Green Beret in Vietnam! 101st Airborne! I still mourn him! He died in the 1990's Loosing his legs to Agent Orange!
He had that medal with him until the end....He was buried with it!

They were very special men! Indeed!
