A Birthday Today

My Grandson Trevor has a Birthday ( Age 11 ) .
He did not have a lever action rifle of any caliber ( until today ).
My Birthday gift to him.
Rossi , 92 , Stainless , 20 inch barrel, 38 Spec. / 357 Mag.

Boxes of 38 Spec and 357 Mag empty brass ( probably 3,000 - 4,000 rds ) along with about 35 ea. different 38 / 357 mould designs from 90 grs. - 200 grs. makes this a good choice for him in my opinion.

He got to shoot the rifle today.

I really like lever action rifles, and that one is a winner. I have it's bigger brother: a Rossi-made-to-EMF-specifications, blued, 24" octagon barrel, crescent butt, and chambered in .38 Special/.357 Magnum.

Lever actions are great fun guns. I'm not sure which is the better the model 1886 or the 1892 but it's one of them. Great gift.

Happy Birthday Trevor. When I was about your age my Granddad gave me a Marlin model 93 in 38-55 that he inherited when his brother passed. I took my deer with that rifle this last fall. I am 77 now and can tell you that you will make memories to last a lifetime with that rifle.
