I thought i would give a heads up to any wood finishers on our site.
I have used ALOT of Minwaxes Poly. over the years. I needed some more to finish the T&G in our new 3 season porch. The wife went to WW and got a gallon. The wife said the new gallon was the same color with the same logo so it had to be the same stuff. AAAHAA
The new and improved formula. Is still and oil base polly. But it has been drastically changed. The new poly has some very different properties. 1 it is very fast drying. By the time i finished covering a 16' piece of T&G the first 1/3 of the board had already almost dried to the touch. 2 I try to work in a 2-3' sections. This poly starts to get tacky so fast i can't backbrush between sections. You can feel the tackieness change that fast. 3 The poly dries so fast it has ne chance of leveling itself out between any high or low spots
