I enjoy spirited discussions and the free exchange of information, it comes from an academic background. Experimentation is encouraged. Engineers and science based disciplines typically have guidelines and methodology in place that govern collecting and processing data. While those strict methods aren't really followed here (nor should they be IMHO) at least the folks here exercise some level of sanity and rationality in trying what they try and doing what they do. I find that a very attractive feature of this site.

The folks here show a lot of respect. We've all been right, and wrong, about many things in life. We all know something not everybody else knows. If we ever go from a polite "you might want to double check that load" to "you're an idiot to even think about using that powder" I'm outta here.

You have nothing to worry about Keith, such a post on this forum would be very short lived as a few have found out.

I take the adage "when your pointing your finger at someone else three more fingers are pointing at you" seriously. I'm not warning anybody else how to behave, I'm reminding myself what my standards should be. If I find I can't be a gentleman on this (or any other) site I won't need to be asked to leave.
