I hope they shoot well for you. What will you be testing them in?

I have an early 7 1/2 Ruger Bisley converted to a BH, the middle sixgun.

I have one of those Hunter models in 41 mag. [top one pictured]
it's got to easily be one of my most accurate handguns, I don't think I have ever touched the sights either.

Another 41 lover are you? If I was starting over probably forget the 44 & 45. The 41 is one fine piece of work.

yeah I'm pretty fond of the round.
I have a black hawk in 41 also and keep looking for a Lever gun.
as long as you keep it within it's weight boundary's the 41 is great for a lot of things most people wouldn't think it capable of.

Sized the bullets today & loaded 20 in Remington cases over 12.5 grs. of WC820 with a Winchester SPM primer. They fit the short cylinder of the M-28 S&W nicely. Hope to shoot them shortly.

I might have said this before, but that nose looks super similar to a 180gr 35 cal bullet I have.
I been piddlin around with it here and there, but just lube sized a small batch to give a run in the 358 win.
I'm thinking 5grs. of something fast might make a pretty decent grouse shooter.

Man. A .358 Win is on my list! That 722 300 Savage would be a perfect doner. Super slick action and beautiful trigger.

but IMO it should be left as is, I would love to have that rifle.

I can't remember if I said it before or not, but have thought it plenty of times too. .300 Savage is an excellent little round, very close to .308 Win. ballistics and very cast-friendly with 160 and under bullets. The Lee 160 EH design at 22-2400 fps or even the 31-165 TommeBoy bullet ought to be a good shooter. The .300 would have been the 7.62x51 except the shoulder was too sharp to feed in the machine guns, so it was altered and the rest is history.

At large, whereabouts unknown.
Ian nailed it. The military really wanted the 300 Savage, but there were those case design issues. There have been a number of "sort of" reissues of the 300. I never understood why the 307 Winchester ever existed in the first place. A dowloaded rimmed .308 for use in lever guns? And Marlin had another one lately IIRC.

Creeker, I have the one on the bottom in .45 Colt. Nice collection.

Those have been changed round. The middle gun is the 357 which was a Bisley & the bottom a 45 Colt converted to Bisley. The bottom gun how wears a stainless BH grip frame, trigger & hammer. Believe I like it better that way but really haven't fired the 45 a bunch at this point.

Took a break today from painting the cabin & fired 20 rounds with the 36-158V using 12.5 grains of WC820. I failed to take a target with me so used one of those beloved political campaign signs. My pen wouldn't mark it & I was out of spray paint so I just shot at a star & an O on the sign. Not much of an aiming point so I only shot 20 yds.

Geez the 4 groups were 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inches using only a ball of rags on the porch rails for a rest. I had one flyer low as I lost the aiming point.

Took time after Church to load a few more of Waco's bullets. This time I used R/P 38 Special cases & Winchester SP Primers. I loaded 20 each with 3.5 grains of HP38 & 20 each with 3.5 grains of Titegroup. Hope to shoot them this week. BTW the powder measure adjustment was only slight between the 2 powders.

Last night I loaded a few more. Waco sent more than I thought. I loaded 20 with Green Dot, 3.5 grains & 20 with Promo, 3.5 grains. Guess I had a 100 or so total. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get to put them on paper.
