Accurate 45-200E

If this one works I'll purchase another 4 cavity for the same bullet. One mould won't cut for a bulk shooter. And I'll probably sell a few 45 moulds.

I might save up for a 4 cav of that one. Will be interested to see what you use for loads.
I pretty much use one mould for 45 ACP, an MP 4 cav brass clone of the HG 68 SWC. Great mould, great bullet, damn heavy.

Harles Dawson has a MP 6 cavity aluminum in HG 68 BB. I used his mould & made a few thousand. I shot them all in my Blackhawk. That bullet is a tack driver. I used 4 grains of Promo for about half of them & 5 grains for the other half. They would group tight as I could hold. Shot one 25 yard group under an inch. You have a great mould there Brad but heavy like you said.

5 gr of Promo is starting to get heavier than I like in my 1911. I have some loaded right now with 4.8 gr I think? I went up to 5.2 but decided it was well over my comfort zone even though they did shoot well.

Not sure what I'll use in the 1911. 5 grains worked great in the Blackhawk though.

I will say for the H&G 34 bullet I've shot several loaded with 5 grains of Bullseye in a 1911. I'm not recommending that load to anyone but I used it without trouble & sold a bunch to locals who did the same. It was probably above my comfort level also.

Sized & lubed the bullets yesterday & loaded a few hundred today. Can't wait to try them but other things to do at present. Here's 5 minute video loading a few. Sorry for the out of focus at the end.

Thanks for the info, Creeker, and a tour of your loading room. You have a nice setup.

My favorite mold for the .45 ACP is the MP clone of the H&G #68. But, I was looking for something that would chamber easier in my 625’s with moon clips.

I bought a 5 cavity 45-200E last year and using between 4.0 and 4.5 gr Bullseye it has proven to be accurate in the 625’s and 1911’s as well.

It is a nice design and, as usual, the Accurate Molds are superb quality and fast shipping as well.

Creeker, have you had the opportunity to do any load work with this bullet in ACP? I need to decide on a mold and get something ordered.

Longone at this point I've fired maybe 250 rounds in my Blackhawk & Kimber. I've only used one load, 4 grains of Promo & a Winchester primer. This load functioned fine in the Kimber. I had one failure to go into battery but this is a new pistol & not yet broken in.

This load in my Blackhawk is really lite, the pressure being too low to completely seal the case against the chamber.

Things being as they are here I've not fired these off the bench, only offhand. The 3 targets below were shot at 23 steps with me leaning against the bed of my pickup using the Blackhawk. As you can see the bullet/load shows promise. The lack of a defined aiming point causes the variation of elevation.

And finally here's a short video using the Blackhawk & load. The clay birds are 46 steps. The last bird I hit under leaving it with the edge to me which I failed to hit with the last 2 shots. The picture shows how they appear as they are hard to see in the video.
