Accurate Molds #51-450M, This is My Version of the Bullshop Bullet, in the Beginning i sent an Original Bullshop .504-460 To Accurate Molds and had Tom Duplicate it, I went with an Aluminum Mold in the Beginning, The Bullet ended up Shooting AWESOME just like the Original, Over the last few Years I decided to Replace my Aluminum Molds with Steel, And in Doing so i had a Few slight Changes made to the Bullets. I did away with the Bevel Base, and Taper Design, Since i Size Bullets on a “Per Bore” Basis, There is Simply no need for a Taper Design. I sized these Bullets to .500 to “Land Ride” in my Green Mountain LRH .50 Cal 1:28 Twist Barrel

Target from the Video above, Shot with Open/Peep Sights

I remember you now!! I remember you sending the Rifle in and Having It Re-Crowned (QLA Removed to Right?) Wasn’t i the one that sent you the Test Bullets in the Thread you linked? I know i am the one that Started this Particular Mold Through Accurate, I sent Tom an Original Bullshop Bullet and Had him Copy it. I deal with SO Many Different People on a Daily Basis That it’s Hard to keep Track, But i see things like the Crown on Your Rifle and it Brings Back Memory

Yep you sent me some to try before I purchased a mold.
My encore shot awful before David White removed the QLA. I still need to get around to trying paper patched bullets in it.

Paper Patch Bullets are a lot of fun to Shoot in a Muzzleloader
:lewis:
I have a Video on Paper Patching for “Muzzleloading Rifles” I Also have a Video on how to Fit them to your Bore. Swabbing between Shots is a Must. I use 91% isopropyl Alcohol, and Part Blue Windex, at this Point my Solution is nearly all Alcohol. I started using HEET (Red Bottle for Gasoline) it is IDEAL, 99.9% isopropyl Alcohol, It dries REALLY Fast

I have no doubt These would Do well in your Rifle, I have Shot these in Several Different 50s, From Stock 1:48 Twist, to My 1:28 Fast Twist Barrels. I Can’t Remember a Gun that wouldn’t shoot these?

Is that a buffalo arms mold?

Those Particular Bullets are Store Bought From Buffalo Arms, .492-450 Cupped Base PP, I am in the Process of Building a Long Range .50 Cal Muzzleloader. I will be having a STEEL Mold Made soon, It will be an Adjustable Cupped Base Paper Patch Mold. Either a Kal Tool & Die Mold, Or Buffalo Arms since they are listing Adjustable PP Molds now

Where can I find the video mentioned above on paper patching for muzzle loaders? I haven't had any luck trying to do it based on what I found on Youtube, many of which seem like show off rather than show how. I'd like to try some PP maxiballs in my 45 Remington. The old Dixie Gun works mold I have casts nice .451 round balls and a 450 Maxi. Afraid of flash overs even with an under wad. Had that happen once - really kind of scary.

you'll probably have to watch Lewis's video above, [click on watch on U-tube when it starts] then link through that by following him on the U-tube.
