Advice on a Mould for my 256 Win Mag.

I've been browsing around a bit for a plain base rfn mould for my 256 win mag somewhere in the 60-70 grn range. From my searching it seems everything is a gc mould. I'm looking to powder coat these bullets and use them for plinking and an intermediate step from rim fire to center fire for my kids.

Arsenal has a plain base mould in the grain I am looking for, the 257283 mould, but I don't know what the diameter, overall length etc of these bullets will be. I was hoping one of you had this mould ( or another that fits what I am looking for) and could point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance Jr.

give Jared an E-mail I bet he will be more than happy to make that mold you want in a non gas check version.
I know of some molds he has made ain't in his catalogue.

I've got a NOE copy of the 257283 I had cut as a plain base. It's my favorite mold for the 25-20WCF. Drops 89 gr in my alloy

if it's for a revolver get your cylinder throats measured, and let him know your alloy, then have him cut it for a +.001 spec.
so if they come in at 257 they should drop from the mold at 258.
that makes your life easier and allows you to move the diameter up and down a titch with your alloy.

No not a revolver, this will be in a Marlin model 62. Cute little lever rifle, would like to get it shooting.

same process.
I bet it takes a 259 no problem.
a nice rnfp design would be perfect.
you just need to know how much room you have in front of the case for feeding and enough bullet weight for the nose of the round to roll over as it goes towards the chamber.

if you happen to run across a Rapine 72gr mold for the 25-20 I would snatch it up if were you.
they come in at around 259 and are a pleasure to shoot.
I don't even size mine I just tumble lube them and load.
