Any cast bullet experience with the .22 Rem Jet out there?

Hi Bill

Thank you for the welcome.

How are you doing?

Regarding the extractor I suspect Ric has the answer, the case differences are not great. I am currently away at present but when I return I will drop the action and check.

Struggling with the .22 Jet to get any jacketed bullets to not hit sideways at 25 yards. See first picture with Hornady 35 grain VMax at 2700 f/s, while cast will shoot if less than 1200 f/s. These were shot at 25 yards, top three and two keyholes jacketed, five lower #225438.

So I made a chamber cast and here are the results. Anyone got a .22 mould less than 50 grains that cast .229"?

Nope, not under 50 gr. I do have an old and to the best of my knowledge long discontinued (I think) RCBS 60 gr that is supposed to cast at .228" but in my alloy it's actually .229" on the driving bands.

Rick, is your mould looking for a new home?

NOE may be the way, because the twist, by measurement is 1 in 14.
