Any one shooting 350 Legend?

That was my thought too last night when I read this.

I think I'd be pulling the gas block and checking barrel nut torque.

That barrel is a pencil barrel type contour. I think a heavy muzzle device will help control the whip. Along with adjusting the load.

Did that twice now.... Torques to 55 first go round. But hastily so I second guessed myself. Then Spot on 50# three times Second... PLUS I BEDDED the barrel into the upper. (Outlined in my video on Utube)

Faxon calls this a "GUNNER PROFILE" Not a real Pencil but thin yes. "Best attributes of a Pencil and M4 profiles" Is how they describe it.

I had a steel Linear Comp on and off. No difference at all noticed.

She is a head scratcher!!!

Thanks guys. I VERY MUCH APPRECIATE the brain power on tap here!!! ♥♥♥

the torque on the muzzle thingy can influence groups too.
I was playing with my 300 and a muzzle brake and was seeing POI shifts and group size changes just by playing with that,, like a Boss system.
I have also done the same thing messing with my Dan Wesson revolvers front retainer nuts.

Funny ya mention!!

Shooting my 358 Winny with the same Linear Comp. accuracy started to open to almost 2" sudden like... I decided to just stop thinking it was hotter then I realized. As I put it on the case to cool I noticed the LC was loose! I tightened and allowed to cool Off and shot three touching @ 50... YUP:headbang:

Tomme suggested same. I removed LC and installed a thread protector but saw no changes. ;(

I do t pretend to know whats happening. Just that SOMETHING IS WRONG. Hope like magic a different barrel "fixes" my woes.

I've heard of the 'bedding' the barrel with red or other stuff, don't agree. Took the barrel off the McGowan assembled carbine and found 'oil' in it. Put the barrel in a different receiver & handguard/nut. Still shoots the same. Bedding adds receiver 'harmonics' to the barrel - solid/hard mounting.
Piping hydraulics (thin wall) show the whip goes in several directions depending on the VELOCITY!

It was SOLID. It Required a lil heat and a 3/4" Hickory dowel persuaded with a hammer!! So this further lends blame to that barrel being bad somehow.

The New barrel is now installed torqued three times & drying.Gas block carefully checked & centered. Diamond head forend mounted & torqued as well.

I mounted a Simmons a 1" Aetec 4-12x40 matte finish, side focus, scope. In Warne matte high rings with bubble level squared to pic rail of upper receiver. Its as good as I could make it. Shooting this weekend

I wonder what was wrong with the other one.

ME TOO!!

I would very much like to know!!

Was REAL ODD when I shot subs (bad bbl) and they impacted 7/8" HIGH.

New barrel and EVERY OTHER I have used impacts are LOW 5/6"!

Super bad harmonics??? Maybe a weak spot in the steel??
I wanted to so a high speed video and then slow it down and watch careful... But I never did.
