Woohoo!!

This is a DELL. Its a year old. Its always been MOLASSES!!! I started it up about 3:50... Returned to it lil aft 4.... It was ready for pass code. Entered... returned 4:30 opened and started looking. The screen kept flashin wanting be to sch up date or do restart now.... I put iff 1 hour. So say 5:30/5:40 I started it. It was done about 9:45. Or thats when I noticed screen blank.

Ran fine last night checking some numbers.

I rarely use it because its so painfully slow. I have not taken it anywhere. I juat use my phone 98% of the time. But now that I have QL. Ill need to be using it.

Is it bad to leave on in sleep??

GOOD SHOW TOMMIE!! Looking forward to the pics and reports!!

Im gonna cast some Lyman 358627's to try again. Pot is warming now!! breakfast coffee is a callin!

Made it out this AM.

20gr varget with the 200gr rcbs hp 1041fps did not cycle
20.2gr imr4895 same bullet 1179fps did not cycle

I think it is going to have to be a 250gr+ bullet to get it to run a AR.

I made a quick trip myself yesterday. But so stinkin hot even in the shade on the firing line on a range that ALWAYS has wind was church still....

I did not wanna cart another rifle so the 350 styed home.

The 450 would cycle as I had some issues. But I was able to zero it. So I got some Benefit.

I fired two subs in it. Neither would cycle one was only 500 fps!!!! Max load of Trail Boss! Hahaha. Second was 10g Unique for 945 fps. (450g bullet)

Then my 62g cast GC .225 Lyman bullets loaded long into rifling if my 222rem Savage 24. 13.3g was a WINNER!!

To ight Its back to why that 450 wouldnt cycle. Found a bad follower and Im suspecting extra spring pressure against under side of BCG partially to blame. Bolt lugs where hitting follower!! (Empty gun)

I was not able to pull chg handle!!! Empty or loaded. So I shot it single Loaded. Will Cycle factory I know my loads are Light so partially to blame.

Speaking to the 350. I have a 230, a 270 and a 280g mold to try. (As well as a few 200/220g molds) ;)

Good shooting, CW!
Which powder did you use in the .222?
I have a .222 on the way myself, once the paperwork is done (cz527).

I have t owned a 527. Came REAL CLOSE When that Grendel Varmint was released!!

ILl have to check powder. I was thinking 4198 but 13g is a small charge. Seems more like unique. But Ill check. I loaded them about a month ago.

I received the awesome bullets Smac sent me! THANK YOU MAN!!!!!!

He also sent some Saeco 353 for me to see/try. NICE PROFILE!!

Man i like these 35&430's EVEN MORE!!!

Hour or so on quick loads and I had a couple
Powders annualized. 4227 has been a favorite and seems to shoot well so I choose 21.5g for 38k 1800 fps & 1500 fpe. I was able to seat the bullet out a bit longer so those numbers all dropped a bit. But function is 100% full 10 or single loaded magazine.

Shooting cancelled for the heat and oppressive nature at my range. Ill try Wednesday or Thursday when this heat is forcast to break.

I also have 270 & 235g Subs plus a large ladder with 296/ 150g Rem Corlokt sized .356 loaded to try. My first load straight off QL. I started LOW!! I use 26.3 under a 165ftx. So felt secure with 26.5 as started for the shorter/lighter 150Rem. 28.5 shows nearly 2500 fps and under 55K. 29g just passes 57k. (Above pressure). Im shooting these in a Ruger American, So no pressure worries of the AR.

Both the sub loads are 7g Herco for advertised 1100 fps at super Low pressures. Probably not enough to cycle but almost 5k @ 8"...

Any one know, How are these barrels?

Not to dismiss your question, but this is for a 358 Legend?
It says "Not for factory 350 Legend Ammo".
What's the difference in the 358 Legend and the 350 Legend? The throat?

Yes the throat but bigger difference is bore dia. One uses a 9mm bullet (350) and one uses true 35 cal rifle and pistol Bullets. (358)

Im up in the air on which.

They recalled all the first barrels from having NO throat. That was the other reason they were popping primers at first. One the ammo. Then the chambers were cut wrong.

I will say the throats on all the AR barrels are short. You will never get a full diameter outside the case mouth to chamber fully. At least the 3 I have seen in person were this way.

I want to get some fire lapping bullets to more the throat out to help drop the initial pressure spike.

I put the word on CB I wanted this Lyman 358430 mold.

Very short order and I was contacted!!

Last night secured the deal and I have my own 358430 mold coming!!!

Now I need to secure some one to HP it for me!! (Soon not straight away).

Ill cast a few pounds first incase I dont have the option to go back to a solid after altering to a HP.

Pretty excited to start the testing!!

WOOHOO THESE SUB LOADS ROCK!!

Quick Loads was nearly SPOT ON with velocities!!! I chose Herco, cause I have an amount and Lucky me it seems a perfect choice. it shoots really well!!

i loaded both a 270 & 230g lead plain base bullets. Both with same 7g of Herco. QL said it was a 1100 fps. The 270 clocked 1060 and the 230 1090. Both shot about 2" @ 50 and POI was top of duplex post! The orange dots are 1. 375 in diameter.

EDIT Looking Again closer... I see slight evidence With the 270's (This bbl is 1:16). So I may "need" a 1:14 when I buy the SCR bbl... If i wanna shoot these. Gonna try 100 thst might tell more.
