Anyone collect ol' Cartritages?

No, no no, you heat the barrel up with a torch until it expands and then you run the chamber reamer down the bore lickity-split and get it back out before the barrel shrinks back to size.

Geesh... I thought everyone knew this.

Okay, I've had my fun.

I made that cartridge up from a .38-55 case and a Paul Jones 530 gr .45-70 bullet. I made a dummy primer, machined the case markings off the base and then aged the case and the bullet. The white lead corrosion is superglue and baking soda. The intent was to bring it to Charlie's and pass it around to see who would take the bait. Keith Caldicott is club member who used to do all the cooking for lunch after our matches. So, I gave it his name as I knew he'd appreciate it. Health problem has pretty much prevented him from coming to the club anymore, except on rare occasions to visit. He is a Brit and ran pubs in London and then worked in Saudi running the huge food services operations for the oil fields. Man can cook. I mean how many gun clubs have fresh bakes scones brought to the club matches in the morning?
