I was making a Lee push thru type sizer for Waco and got a bit carried away with the boring bar.
His .433 sizer isn’t gonna be smaller than .436 once done.
Anyone need a Lee push thru type sizer bigger than .436? I will even include a push rod.

No charge, shipping included!

A .449 maybe ..... I've got all the 45s pretty well covered . Just some .448 chambers on a Dagoon in 44 . I wonder how a PP would work there ? It's an old ASM so it's probably .440×.446 . So a .440 would be prime to patch . Let me drive a ball tomorrow some time and if someone needs a fat 44 take advantage of this by all means . This is just me goofing around .

Let me know and it is yours.

Not sure why but I have screwed up more 44 and 45 cal sizers. The smaller ones seem to go easier for some reason.

It's a mind set about the area vs depth of cut , bigger means it takes more ...... Except it's the same depth of cut and tool to area relationship and that doesn't care about area .

I also seem to forget the my thin little home ground boring bar flexes a lot more than the carbide insert bar. Just taking a second cut with no change in tool location can remove .002 or more.

Always do a couple of spring passes before pulling out to take a measurement, otherwise the measurement you dialed in is meaningless. My small, flexy lathe has been a good teacher of things like that when learning how to make close-tolerance parts. Another issue I've had with boring bars is failing to ger them exactly on center and having them flex and suddenly dig in and take big bite.

Perfesser Keith will soon be producing blanks with pilot holes that can easily be finished with drills and sandpaper/split rod, so keep that in mind for later.
