He is amazing. If you ever get a chance to see Bill Jordan (deceased I believe) on video he was also amazing. Also Herb Parsons with a shotgun, sounds like 1 shot instead of 7!

Imagine how much time and ammo it takes to develop skill like that. It takes some raw talent too.
I haven't the talent, the time, or the money. I am in awe of those who do.

I remember reading where Ed McGivern would practice shoot in his basement. He'd push a primed 38 spl case down into a cookie pan of paraffin wax for a wax bullet of sorts. He'd shoot these in the basement and just melt them back down into the pan for more wax bullets.

I used to do that a lot to practice double action shooting on the cheap with my model 29 Smith. Lots of fun and pretty darn accurate at close range.

I first met Bob Munden when i was competing in the first Soldier of Fortune Three Gun Match in Columbia, Mo. He was a spectator and a very nice and friendly guy.

I didn't see him shoot until several years later and his speed was just flat unbelievable. He was also fantastic with live ammo. A real phenomenom!

There are all kinds of Utube clips of his various stunts. He was also a great single action gunsmith, too.

I watched Bob Munden do his handgun fastdraw show about 4 times, twice in very small
groups, less than 10 people, so got to be close and really observe. Absolutely INCREDIBLE
is the best description for the "two shots at once" demo, where he fans it and pops two
balloons. Once you know exactly what will happen, you can concentrate on trying to detect
a slightly longer sound blast or an elongated muzzle blast or SOMETHING that even HINTS
at two shots being fired instead of one. You CANNOT tell, except for two fired blanks and
two popped balloons.

His draw is truly amazing too, but much easier to understand and relate to (even tho I can't
do it!) than the two shot demo.

I saw him and his wife do a live ammo rifle and pistol "Annie Oakley" type of demo, too,
and it was really impressive. I could probably do a few of those tricks about 1/3 of the time,
but they were doing each trick and getting it the first time, every time. Really fine shooting.

I saw him on video pop the two balloons with a Bond Arms derringer in 45 colt. It sounded like one slightly drawn out shot even with the derringer.

With his 45 colt single action 2 shots sounded just like one shot to me. Unbelievable!
