I'd like to cast some plinking and practice bullets for my 7 rem mag. Will the Lee 7-130gr lead bullet work? I haven't looked at my reloading table yet but I have Blue Dot to work with.

The Lee bullet will work fine, will probably need a gas check floor best accuracy. Someone here should be able to give some direction for workable Blue Dot loads. After reading your post I think Blue Dot might be the only handgun/shotgun powder I’ve never used in cast rifle loads. Might have to change that.

For the little bit I’ve used AA9 it has worked. I’ll check my records to be sure but I think I used start data for 2400. Don’t give up on the Blue Dot.

I didn't look for 7RM but for 120s in 264 WM . The biggest difference is the .020 in the neck . I don't recall the source but I do recall the max charge of Unique because it was right there with the paper base wad 12 ga 1-1/4oz game loads at 26.0 . I didn't get even close as I was hitting a 24" gong at 400 yd 5 straight and called it both a successful load and a day for that rifle . No sense messing up a good run trying to improve on it .

After a hard stuck case with a start load in 357 mag I left the BD for mid season duck and goose loads . Later the data was revised for 357 but I wasn't going back . In hind sight I probably had 357 throats with a 355/6 groove because that little mixed lot box of 75-90 gr Gold Dots shot really well .

I have had better accuracy with the 7 mm soup can than the lee 130 in 7 TCU, 7/30 and 280.

I have both and both do about the same from the 7/30. The weight difference is about 15 gr in my molds. I have the original ballisticast that was delivered messed up and the one they replaced it with for the Thor. The only advantage of the 7/30 Waters IMO over the 30-30 is speed so the weight makes a difference. Mine is a 23" Contender bbl.
