Brass catcher?

I tried one of the Nut Harvesters at our local Conservation range. The range area is thick grass and it didn't work very well in it. So back to the tarp or bending over for me.

Velcro could be a viable option.

As for welding, I don’t know anyone talented enough to weld steel to flesh.
