Azon has decent, inexpensive dial indicators. I've had good luck with Accusize and Fowler.

Indicator rod and pointer are taped to sizer. If you have any questions once it arrives let me know.
I can send a chart to translate the indicator reading into hardness.

I’ve actually got two dial indicators that I picked up at a pawn shop last year. Haven’t even used them yet. I sometimes buy tools that I don’t need; “yet”. I picked up my good 1” mic on the same day I bought those dial indicators. The shop owner was 87 years old and was closings down his business for good.

Do all dial indicators have a universal mounting system? I guess I’m gonna find out if the dials I’ve got will fit on this tester. I’m sure I can figure it out.
