Cat superior attitude

I don't think cats have a superior attitude, that is just how some humans interpret their behavior based, on what a human would do. Cats are complex critters, far more so than dogs. Cats always retain some of their feral nature, which dogs do not. Cats will bond very deeply with humans, but that bond must be maintained on a regular basis. I like cats and dogs very much. Dogs are much easier to understand than cats.

That aside, the cartoon was funny.

My cat is incredibly dog like and passive ........do not exit the house with her exposed because she will climb you and try to burrow in or escape and run for the exit door . She's a mess now with no kill instinct at all . Since probably 10 days after her arrival & 2-3 days inside she hasn't left the house and has slept if not on me , up against me . She sleeps nights and prowls days , refuses to chase a laser dot . A bath is just a quarterly bug thing for her to endure quietly and a cat like excuse to lap/blanket snuggle .

I was more thinking about the leg hiking thing .

Wifey's new purr-bucket. Russian Blue polydactyl with 20 toes plus the two dewclaws.

I agree with Charles and Popper about dogs and cats.

Ok, cats. As a GS kid Mom said DON'T FEED THE CAT, IT WILL STAY! Yup. Told Mom, better than bro's chicken you have to stop crowing at sunrise! Or my white rats that run around in the basement! Looked like Ian's new one. 15 yrs later she's gone. So Mom gets another CAT.

How do you know the difference between a cat and a dog?

A dog says "You love me, you feed me, you care for me, you must be god".
A cat says "You love me, you feed me, you care for me, I must be god".

Got a feral cat that lives under my house. She will eat out of my hand but will not let me pet her . . . if she just knew the love she is missing out on. I keep her around because I'm on 5 acres in the desert and she keep the rodent population down.

Difference between pet and feral. Pets get food, water, soft cushy place to sleep, protection from predators, attention when THEY want it, for FREE. Feral have to provide for themselves.
Got the one with a 2' long tongue and the one with 3 legs this week. I take care of them but don't give them the attention THEY want. Park themselves next to the door waiting for the kid to show up. The plentiful food they eat comes out the other end and I get to 'clean-up'. But they are sweet border collies. About slipped and fell from a pile of shed fur the other day but it keeps her busy.

Agreed with you Brad, until you added Blonde and Brunette! It would take volumes to digest that topic.
I’ve never heard of a cat getting between it’s owner and a pissed off bear, I’ve twice had dogs put their self in that position.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
No offense intended, it's just the whole "I like animals that crap in my house and ignore my wishes entirely" thing. To each their own. I'm getting to be less of a fan of dogs too, so I suppose I'm just getting tired of caring for other peoples indoor livestock !
