Red for Northerns. Those big Wipers are fun on 8# fly rig, when the river is at flood. Normal tipit is just 20# saltwater mono. Dang city put trout in the brim pond and ruined fishing there.

They changed the weather forecast to 40% chance of thunderstorms. A rainy day wouldn't be too bad but out in the middle of a large lake floating on a piece of aluminum during a thunderstorm could be a hair raising and quite exciting experience.

You didn't mention thunder and lightning. That is a game changer. Rain isn't.

Yeah, I'd probably have two in the weeds and one in the prop inside of five minutes.

if it's that storm that went through here today it's a bluff.
it rained for like 10 minutes but looked like it was gonna dump all day long.
[the radar forecast showed all kinds of wet coming too]
I should have followed up on my initial thought at 6 am and just uncovered the boat and went fishing.

oh well,, I put new line on the trout rod, put the tools away, and got the little aluminum smoker the wife picked up at a yard sale for a dollar all straightened out and working today.

Been raining here.... weather folks said it is the #5 wetest alltime May,so far?

Remember behind the ears guys with the sunscreen.

Don't care to drink wine, but cook with it.But a bottle of Moet Chandon? Holy moly.....love that sheet. And skip the glasses, just drink it outta bottle.....wifey gets furious, which makes it even sweeter.

We expect photos of the big catch.
Don't forget the sunscreen.

I canceled the trip due to the increased risk of inclement weather. Was suppose to be only a 20% chance of thunderstorms, then 40%................now it's 80 percent.:headbang: Not taking a chance of getting caught out on a lake, in a aluminum pontoon. No easy way to get off the lake, in a hurry, there are steep banks and the marinas are far and few.

Rain never bothered me fishing but lightning is another story entirely. No way I'm holding the lightning rod in my hand.
If your weather is like ours it changes thru the day. Yesterday was expected to be dry and sunny. Never got much sun but it wasn't very dry either. It did get nice and humid later in the day after the rain stopped.

A fiberglass rod wouldn't be nearly as bad as sitting on a large floating piece of aluminum out on the open water. John's 90 horse Merc moves the boat along quite well but it won't out run a lightning bolt.

Well hey . . . I got the Mercury part right. And it still won't outrun a lightning bolt.

I think Brad is confused with my girl friend Bella and me. Brad, Bella is the one with four feet and a cold wet nose.

I'm not checking to see if your nose is cold or wet.

maybe that's when the confusion started.
