Cleaner cases

Has anyone else noticed how much cleaner cases are after firing when using powder coated bullets?
I didn’t get a photo but was shocked at the difference in 44 special cases. Those fired with traditional lube has a smudge mark on one side at least 1/2 way down the case. Internally the case was soot covered mouth to head. Cases fired with identical load except PC instead of traditional lube almost looked unfired. Almost no soot inside case, no smudge down the side of case.
Going forward I will likely not clean cases for this load as long as I am using PC.

I think that any residual conventional lube gets partially consumed by the burning powder, generating soot & smoke. I still see some smoke with PC, but it's not blowing smoke rings like some conventional lubes do. I still need to make me some of Ians soap based lube.

Yep! All that lube is not getting pushed out of the bullet and case before it has fully entered into the bore.

Wet tumbling won’t need much soap at all.
I knew some of the exterior and case mouth grunge was lube related but I am shocked at how much of the interior case grunge is not present with PC.
Titegroup sure burns clean

I was astonished to find that the interiors of brass cases was the same color as the outside, and not all fluffy & black. Wet tumbling was an eye-opener for me.

Imagine that Brad, PC'd bullets are almost like shooting......jacketed bullets ;)

I've been shooting cast bullets in most of my guns for quite a while and with mid-upper loads, there is no soot of lube on the cases. I guess my loads are enough to seal the case/chamber...
