Custom Sizing Die

Anyone know of someplace that will custom make a big sizing die? I need one for .730. Probably have to be push through but if someone could make an RCBS or Saeco sizer that size that would be awesome.

Considering an H-die is .700" in diameter, yes, it will have to be a push-through. Further considering the minor diameter of 7/8"-14 NF threads is .795", it will have to be a push-through made in the 1-1/4"-12 standard for some RCBS, Lee Classic Cast, swage presses, etc. or something made for an arbor press.

12-gauge I assume?

I didn't measure my lube sizer dies but I figured that would be the case.

Yeah my rock chucker could handle the larger size so that's no issue, but no one seems to make a sizer that size.

Yup, I got a henry single shot slug gun that I'm going to play around with. I have a round ball mold on order but I drew up a design for a ~1050 grain full bore slug that it would be nice to have a sizer for. I can pan lube the few slugs I'll be casting so that's not really an issue.

Sounds fun! I think Ammohead is doing custom dies for the standard machines but have no contact info for him. I'd take on the project myself but have too much going on right now and no suitable material big enough. Whoever makes it will also need about a dozen slugs to test.

I appreciate it nonetheless. Hopefully someone who sees this will be able to help or perhaps know someone who can.

It will be a while before I'm able to cast any slugs, I just sent the design to Accurate, and he's about 10 weeks out or so.

I'm a known associate of Ammohead .
His hunting season is about to start . He is on CB and FB about every 10-14 days . I have his contact information if you would like to PM . I will try to get a message to him to confirm , I think he wants to keep this a retirement hobby thing and not get into 100s at a time .....

I could do it in the next couple of months but need the material sent to me and it won't be cheap to make the die and pusher (probably 3-4 hours of work). Will also need exact thread dimensions to make the part. I can make the fit per standard class of fit spec with thread pitch gauges but need to confirm it is 1-1/4"-12 pitch.

That would be excellent, if you want to give him my contact info my email is just @gmail.com added to my username, or let me know how best to contact him if he wants to make one.

I like the TC design. Is this for brass hulls?
Just for regular old plastic hulls. The guy who made the original mold, which was my inspiration, got them up to 1150 fps at standard shotgun pressure, could probably get close to 1300 fps at magnum pressure, if you wanted to test your shoulder.

I made it with large lube grooves so I could shoot them with blackpowder if I wanted as well.

Should also make a great HP mold, and I might have that done to one as well.

Here is another route you may take, he makes different things. Check makers being one. I haven’t had any experience with his products but have talked with him and he seems to be very knowledgeable.

Someone is already making me one, but thank you for the info.
