WOW ! I did not know there were still people out there that know all this.

It's like finding a lost world.....

For Bulls Eye indoors lighting is important too...only light should be on the target.

For the 1911, the slide release is tripped with the left thumb after a reload from lockback, as you are making up the two handed grip.

Some instructors teach the left hand pulling back the slide slightly and then fully releasing it,
as a more universal technique which will work with any gun. HOWEVER, this is a very dangerous technique for a speed reload
with a gun with a slide mounted safety, the Beretta 92 is a critical example. This second technique has about a 50-50 chance
of applying the safety inadvertantly during your speed reload. If you insist on the "pull back the slide" reload method for the
Beretta, you MUST add "second safety removal" with the left thumb (right handed shooter) as you make up the two
handed grip, EVERY TIME the left hand hits the gun, or one day you will find the safety on after a speed reload in a critical situation.
