Does anyone watch who sells us powder?

I probably won't buy any for another yr . I think then I'll probably only be after another arsenal pack of #41s and probably LRP but it might be LPP . Of course depending upon what madness comes next it might be 5-6 yr .

Blackhorn 209 powder just became available. Walmarts were carrying it. $36.99/ 8oz bottle. Hodgdon shrank the bottle by 2 oz. I looked again today and walmart raised the price to $52 overnight.

Walmart carries powder? They don't even have ammo out where you can see it here nor anyone to assist you if you want them to look in the super secret supply room where legend says they keep it!

A lot of the very rural walmarts do carry smokeless too. And primers. Mainly in the upper western states and Alaska. The trick is to get the person who orders the sporting goods to request certain powders. All of the hodgdon powders are in the system for them to order. You just need a SKU # for them to order it.

they also carry RCBS reloading equipment.
my not so local wal-mart didn't used to carry reloading stuff then they got a new manager and he done his best to open up the hunting and fishing section as best he could.
they sometimes actually have a pound or two of powder, and some different types of bullets [sierra mostly]

"OK, OK, I'm going as fast as I don't want to go!"
Well, out here in SOCAL, the Wally Worlds have become ghetto shopping centers and dropped even ammo sales in many locations.

My local WM's are about as rural as it gets and none carry anything like that. But then, I'm in NY, so "normal" doesn't apply.

Da, tovarich. Is same way in Kalifornistan. Much like Old Country.

Not fond of Wally World, for anything. My lifelong patronage of WM is 3 visits total, always obliged by someone I was with (and who was driving).

I was talking with the manager of our local TSC the other day and asked her when they were going to start selling guns and, or at least, ammo. She said some TSC's in the southern US did sell ammo, but it 'll never happen in NY although she's all for it.

I seldom use Walmart. I used to use it a lot more, but our local place in Ogdensburg NY shrunk their fishing/hunting/tools/automotive and increased the electronics and food. I suppose they do what makes the most $$$. Not my favorite place at all, and Lowes is going downhill too I've noticed. We just got a Harbor Freight, which is handy, but still Commie made stuff for the most part. Of course, so are most of the tools at Ace, Lowes, NAPA, etc.

We made this mess, not on purpose, but we did it.

Walmarts are all over the place when it comes to handling guns/ammo. Mine used to sell rimfire and centerfire ammo and shotgun shells as well as rather large selection of muzzleloader accessories and rifles. In the past year they quit selling anything but airsoft and 177 bb/pellet rifles. No ammo, no muzzleloaders. I talked with the sporting goods manager who told me they made a decision at corporate to severely limit firearm related sales in metropolitan areas.
The Walmart near my cabin sells centerfire rifles and shotguns as well as ammo, muzzleloaders and accessories.
