Does superglue

Work on powder coat? I know it works on some plastics and not others. All I use is smokes powder.

What I am doing is a gas seal screwed to a 12ga slug. I also want to super glue it for making it more secure to help the accuracy.

Try the gel version, if the liquid doesn't adhere. I found that to be the case, when repairing my plastic swimbaits.

I tried it when I was making the 410 Slugs with 145g 40's and BP stump wads. Didnt hold. Went to hot glue was better but also occasionally failed. (Occasional terrible accuracy proved that)

I bet it would I dont think I have good contact. (Many gaps) If contact area was sufficient maybe. I agree gel probably better for gaps.

Methylacrylate esters cure in the absence of oxygen. If any gaps exposed to air, it won't cure. Submerge in still water for an hour to cure, or coat exposed edges with baking soda for instant hardening of any glue that the baking soda can directly touch (won't help if air pockets or veins exist which funnel air under the gas check). For other applications, smearing Vaseline or grease to remove air works, or purge part in a baggie with canned "air" (CO2) and let sit for an hour.
