I was out casting this morning for my Smith & Wesson, Model 59, 9mm pistol .
I've already tested both of these bullets. They both run through this pistol like water running through screen wire. Both are very accurate at 15 yards ( about the limit of my needs with a 9mm pistol )

I also cast some with my Lyman 356402, double cavity mould.

That 130 gr. bullet looks a lot like the Lee 125 I cast for my 9mm Ben. It works well in my Beretta 92.

What happened to the Lee you were messing with?

I think those bullets your working with might surprise ya @50yds or more. The hodgepodge in the bucket holds 3" @ 50 with open sights, mil spec trigger, & only a front rest.

i'm still shooting it.
The round nose vs. the bullet with the large meplat, well you know the rest of the story. If the large meplat shoots as well ( or better ), I'll probably go with the large meplat design.

Yes Bill,

I have that mould in a 2 cavity, T/L design, ( I may get the 6 cav. regular lube groove design soon ), It does well in my Smith 59.

I started with 2 cav conventional lube groove design, and after a while, it worked so well I
got a 6 cav and standardized on it. The exceptionally low cost of Lee 2 cavs makes it easy
try out any mold you think may be useful. If so, a 6 cav gives you quanties easily.

I think you'll like it.
