Fishing this morning

Well, I had today off so my wife & I decided to go fishing...I got nothing!
She, on the other hand landed this 30" 11 lb White Catfish at our local State Park.
Folks are telling us it may be a PA State Record
It took her 20 minutes to get it into the boat & I wasn't sure who would tire first the fish or her.
Needless to say after she caught it she was exhausted and wanted to go home!
She got him on a 1 1/2 inch Arkie panfish swimbait.

Congrats to your Mrs.; record or not. I love catfish, breaded with a good dose of ceyenne pepper in the breading, then fried in peanut oil.

Nice fish. Looks almost like the Blues, around these parts........except for lacking the prominent bump in front of the dorsal fin.

Well,
Had a piece of the "Tail" Last evening! The "FISH"!!! Actually for an old guy it was pretty tasty on the grill. Still waiting on the verdict about the record.
Looks like the little lady has done some good providing for the familly! freezer looks quite full today
